Coach AJ's Scope of the Day
** These opinions are not the opinions of Dawson St. Christian School, but the opinions of Albert Jackson III.  **
Can we finally move forward in 2010 with success. Dawson Street football has suffered with the health situation of Coach Vince Sutton the last few years. However, we hope we have finally turned the corner to playing competitive football again in 2010. Defense and offense should be very exciting with the hiring of Kenneth Griffin, Drew Walston, Melvin Roberrtson, and Vince Sutton helping full time again this season. Look for bright things with returning players Cordero Cameron, Kenzel Woodard, Driq Parks, Cordamione Cameron, Brandon Johnson, and Albert Jackson. Look for the offense to move with do-everything players Eric White and Darius Rhodes a threat to score every-time they touch the ball.

Coaching Staff:
Drew Walston: Offensive Coordinator
Vince Sutton: QB & DB'S Coach
Melvin Robertson - Defensive Coordinator

August 21st - Scrimmage Game DSC 2 vs Georgia Force 15
First, I would like to apolgize to Dawson St parents, fans, players, teachers, staff, and alumni for the poor display of sportmanship by the former Head Coach(Ken Griffin) of Dawson Street Christian. I personally wasn't on the sideline, but being Athletic Director no matter what happens on the sideline it's an impression on me and my father. I know some parents questioned me personally why should there kids play for a head coach who displayed no class and respect for his fellow coaches, staff, and players. However, I will never let what happen last year happen again just to win a football game, it's all about training kids for life and that next big play(LIFE). Monday, the board will make decision on who's the next head coach. Now getting to the game, we had 4 fumbles inside their 15 yard line. We have to block better to win games and cut out the penalities. However, the defense played OK, not giving up a point in the second half led by Driq Parks, Brandon Johnson, and Sergio Barrett to name a few. Fans thanks for the support at our first scrimmage and we look forward to seeing you next week in Newnan at The Heritage School, Friday at 7:30pm. History will be with The teacher(Danny Cronic) going against his pupil(Vince Sutton). Boy it seems like yesterday, old-school LaGrange High fans remember the first glory years and who really put LaGrange on the map(Cronic, Sutton, and Nate Hill). I remember being a ninth grader and just wishing I could get a few varsity reps and catch a pass from the Great Vince Sutton.
